Behind the scenes of a Mad Tea Party – Alice, put the kettle on and have a cup of tea!

Now that Miss Party has taken her Corgi pups for a walk on this fine New England morning, she is ready to get back to the Mad Tea Party! She made a nice cup of hot tea in her favorite Disney “Alice in Wonderland” mug, with her favorite fresh baked, whole grain toast with a bit of apricot jam, and then proceeded to do a tutorial she’s been promising with the leftover tea and teabags. Now that’s recycling! A DIY Vintage Paper tutorial has been posted under DIY Party Projects.

Tea-stained paper is so pretty and delicate looking. It’s amazing how tea can transform a brand new piece of paper and really ‘age’ it to grand effect!

Miss Party plans to use this effect to ‘age’ all manner of “Drink Me!”and “Eat Me!”tags, cards and signage for the buffet table food dishes. Here’s one of the tea stained papers framed for use at the High Tea buffet tables; one for ‘Sweet’ and one for ‘Savory’. Hmmm…they might be able to stand a bit more tea-staining around the edges. What do you think?
