Behind the Scenes of a Mad Tea Party – Brand new pics posted for Part 4A and 4B – Mad Tea Party Buffet Table!

Slowly, Miss Party is getting through all 800 pics of the Mad Tea Party!! So today, she focused on the food and dessert buffet tables. All you Mad Tea Party lovers simply must check out the updated “Mad Tea Party” Theme, a la Hatter, Vintage Style, Part 4A and 4B, to see all the deliciousness!! Look at both, the pics are slightly different between the two.

The Low Tea Menu was designed for a teenage palate so nothing too crazy or daring, everything was very recognizable (not a dash of Paprika on the Dormouse’s Angelic Deviled Eggs in sight!) and lots of fresh fruit was offered to keep things healthy. The teens seemed to really enjoy everything and came back for seconds. The Tea Sandwiches were lovely and easy (catered by a local deli) and again, perfect for the guests.

Later the table was cleared and set for a Dessert Buffet which looked amazing!! So much eye candy, Miss Party gained 5 lbs. just looking at the table! The delicious “Eat Me” cupcakes were prepared by the talented Dessert Works Bakery. There was a choice of Red Velvet (YUM!) and Vanilla cupcakes, with Buttercream Frosting. In addition to the dessert buffet offerings, extra large white and dark chocolate dipped strawberries were passed by a server once the guests were reseated.

For the duration of the Low Tea meal, guests were offered hot water for hot tea or cold tea by a server. With the substantial number of guests and possibly clumsy young gentlemen :) it was decided that having the server pour the seated guests the hot water was a better option than each guest getting their own at a beverage station. These days teens obviously aren’t used to handling teacups and saucers and nobody wants to see a burn accident! This was an excellent decision and it worked out perfectly.

See “Mad Tea Party Theme, a la Hatter, Vintage Style, Part 4A – A High Tea Menu Alice would love!” and “Part 4B – A Low Tea Menu Alice would love!”. The pics are slightly different between the two posts so take a look at both!
