Limeade for a Crowd – Tart, sweet…refreshingly different!

Miss Party adores how the Waldorf-Astoria’s Boca Raton Resort and Country Club in Florida, USA offers Limeade in their gorgeous white marble lobby every afternoon to pamper and refresh their guests. Native lime beverages of all sorts are offered throughout the Caribbean Islands, as well. They’ll never fail to refresh and rejuvenate your guests on a sunny afternoon!

Limeade is the perfect warm weather beverage when you want something just a bit unusual, but still similar to Lemonade. It’s a little more tart than Lemonade, but still sweet and it’s great for all ages. Citrus based beverages are so refreshing in tropical or warm weather. Have a bottle or two of ginger ale or club soda nearby so guests can make the Limeade sparkling.

You could have a beverage station as you see in the pic above from the Boca Raton Resort and Country Club. Line up rows of mini glasses on the table, with a slice of lime in the bottom of each glass, or try this “Recycled Glass Beverage Bottles” idea post.

For an adult spring/summer party, prepare a pretty tray full of mini glasses of Limeade to offer as guests arrive. Pour each glass about half full, just enough to ‘wet your whistle’ as Miss Party’s Grandma used to say. Float a cross-section slice of lime on top. It helps to ease guests into the first awkward moments at the beginning of a party and extra hydration in warm weather is always a good idea.

Makes approximately 2 quarts

2 cups of Rose’s Lime Juice
2 cups Lime Simple Syrup
4-5 cups water
2 limes, washed and sliced
mint leaves (optional)

1) Make your Lime Simple Syrup and let cool.

2) Combine the Simple Syrup and lime juice; add water and stir with a wooden spoon to mix.

3) Refrigerate for several hours until ready to serve.

4) When ready to serve, add ice cubes, lime slices and mint.
