French Lemonade is delicious and refreshing and a very popular choice in the summertime at the outdoor cafe’s in Paris. This easy pink version of French Lemonade is particularly pretty with raspberries and lemon slices floating on the surface. Your guests will love it!
Miss Party prefers the tart, European-style version using club soda, but the kiddies and some adults prefer extra sweetness from the lemon-lime soda. Using lemon-lime soda makes it more like a fizzy punch, which is also delicious and may be preferable to appeal to a wide range of ages. As you can see below, the refreshing beverage will be a lovely shade of pale pink.
Per recipe, proportions are as follows:
1 12 ounce container frozen pink lemonade
2 quarts water
1/2 cup lemon juice, strained of seeds (approximately 4 lemons or use bottled lemon juice if preparing multiple batches)
1 2 liter bottle of lemon-lime soda, Ginger ale or lemon-flavored club soda
1 bag frozen raspberries
2 additional lemons, thinly sliced
Prepare frozen lemonade as directed; add the 1/2 cup lemon juice. Refrigerate overnight or at least 3-4 hrs ahead. Just prior to serving, put lemonade in punch bowl or dispenser. Slowly add club soda or lemon-lime soda to preserve the carbonation. Add lemon slices and frozen raspberries. Stir gently. Serve.
