Miss Party wants to share a ‘thaw, heat and eat’ hors d’oeuvre idea that’s probably in your neighborhood grocery store or ‘Whole Foods’ right now. Miss Party uses these fully-cooked, frozen pizzas to make delicious, quick hors d’oeuvres for casual entertaining. She serves them along with a bowl of high-quality dipping oil (to dip the delicious flatbread crusts), a bowl of mixed Italian olives and a nice red wine…easy-peasy on a summer evening!
The American Flatbread Company has been putting out delicious, high-quality pizzas in their wood-burning ovens in restaurants throughout New England since 1998. The American Flatbread Company uses only high-quality, organic ingredients, local produce when possible and has a general mission of being a positive influence within their restaurants’ communities. On a recent trip to Vermont, Miss Party stopped into their Burlington restaurant and was reminded of how delicious their pizzas are!!
You’ll find the pizzas in the organic frozen foods case of your grocery store. They have several delicious varieties (the ‘Cheese & Herb’ pizza is Miss Party’s favorite), try one of each. She has used them many, many times for a super quick and casual hors d’oeuvre that’s tasty and ‘gourmet’ enough for company. She cuts the pizza in half and then into narrow, rectangular slices, but slicing the entire pizza into small squares would work just as well.
Pour a glass of chianti and give one a try!
