Oh my goodness, the ‘Grimm Evening’ Halloween party was a blast! The weather was just perfect (the calm before the storm, perhaps!). A full moon hung overhead and the guests arrived decked to the nines in Halloween costume finery! Ah, but Miss Party is getting ahead of herself…
ONCE UPON A TIME, in a land far, far away, guests arrived for ‘A Grimm Evening’ of festivities and merrymaking. Snow White’s nasty (but beautiful) stepmother, the Evil Queen directed them to hasten past the foggy, unkempt graveyard, down the path and into the Black Forest. During their travels, they each encountered one very creepy, but elegantly dressed, gentleman who much preferred the dark shadows of the night.
Eventually, weary guests arrived in the ‘Black Forest’ and were greeted by Little Red Riding Hood. Everyone could clearly see ‘Red’ had gotten the better end of her smack down with the big, bad wolf and was ready to celebrate. She stood ready and triumphant to welcome the guests. (Miss Party just loves a strong female hero that can take care of herself, don’t you?)
Once the cast of costumed characters were all in attendance, the party got into full swing and much merriment ensued. Little Red Riding Hood partied alongside a couple of hairy gorillas and a banana. Let’s see, there was a female werewolf and her hapless victim, a hipster hippie and the mega-famous, ‘Taylor Swift’, just to name a few on the diverse guest list. Oh, yes, ‘Mitt Romney’ even dropped in to shake a few hands with his re-election constituents. Guests warmed their bones by a bonfire and partook of a wickedly delightful buffet table full of tricks and treats. The party eventually moved indoors as well for dancing, desserts and more socializing. Candy party favors accompanied the departed.
EVERYONE LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER…except the big, bad wolf.
